Aluminium Sector Task Force Workshop
under National Campaign on Energy Conservation
on 19th August 2005 at Hindalco
Industries Limited, Hirakud (Orissa)
Bureau of Energy Efficiency has set up a voluntary
programme in which the various sub-sectors
of industry participate for information exchange
on the mandatory provisions of EC Act as well
as other areas and other technical assistance
need to improve energy efficiency levels. The
specific energy consumption norms are proposed
to be fixed up through this voluntary approach
only.
The main objective of this voluntary programme
is to promote positive change and to identify
the leaders who drive that change. The programme
is expected to offer ideas that can improve
business and economic benefits through reduced
energy use.
In this connection, a one day
Aluminium Sector Task Force workshop is being
organized at M/s
Indian Hindalco Industries Limited, Hirakud
Smelter, Hirakud (Orissa) on 19th
August 2005.
The programme schedule for the task force workshop
is at Annexure. The Coordinator for this task
force workshop is Shri Jugal Kishor Mishra,
Senior Manager – WCM & EM, HINDALCO-Hirakud,
Hindalco Industries Limited. M/s Hindalco Industries
Ltd., would be providing the Guest House/Hotel
accommodation for upto 40 participants at Hirakud.
The transport arrangement from the Jharsuguda
junction (70 km from Hirakud plant) and Sambalur
main station (15 km from Hirakud plant) will
be provided by M/s Hindalco Industries Limited.
The participants willing to attend the programme

The
second National Certification Examination for
Energy Managers / Energy Auditor
The second National Certification examination has been announced, which is being
held on May 28/29 2005. The exact data is not yet finalized. This exam will be
based on revised books 1 through 4 and an expended set of sample questionnaires,
as well as lessons learned from the first exam.
The revised draft books will be
available Mid February 2005, however the old
ones posted at http://www.bee-india.nic.in/are
sufficient to formulate additional sample questions
of the category objective, short and long descriptive
type. For details refer the sample questions
bank. We are looking for at least 600 additional
questions (objective , short and long type).
They should not be just repetitions of the existing
ones. Sample entries must the satisfy the following
requirements.
- Reference to relevant page of
Book 1 through 4
- Content must be of practical
relevance and only slightly changed repetitions
of calculations in the books.
- Correct solution must be provided,
and
- No ambiguity in question
There will be a total budget of
up to Rs. 3 lakhs.
100 best question bank (from Book 1 through 4, includes objectives, short and
long descriptive type ) submitted will be suitably rewarded.
