| Jamul Cement Works, one of the units
of The Associated Cement companies Limited, was set
up in the year 1965 with a capacity of 15.8 lakh tonnes.
It is the first plant established in the country with
the sole aim of utilizing blast furnace slag, a waste
product generated in the manufacturing process of
steel of Bhilai steel Plant. It can boast as a first
plant of its kind to produce 100% PSC right from its

Madras Cements
Ltd., was the most ambitious diversification of
the Ramco Group which was founded by Sri. P. A.
C. Ramasamy Raja, cousin of the then Chief Minister
of composite Madras state and later Governor of
Orissa. It was incorporated in 1957 and installed
first cement plant at R. R. Nagar in the Virudhunagar
District, Tamil Nadu. The commercial cement production

Mehta Group started Cement Manufacturing Unit with
One Kiln in the year 1960 at village Adityana, Ranavav

lines one after the other to raise Production capacity
from 0.22 Million tonnes per annum to 1.2 million

Shree Digvijay
Cement Company Limited was established in the year
1946 and its first kiln of 90,000 Tones/Annum was
commissioned in the year 1948. With the passage
of time Company kept on upgrading technology and
equipment's, In 1984, company installed a Dry process
kiln with two string separate line calcinor, and
latest 18 MW Diesel generating sets in 1999. Today
an ISO 9002 and API quality system certified Company
producing more than 11,00,000 Tones of seven types
of Cement.
